Sometimes I get a little to much “pretty” in my system at one time … and this is what happens.
Writing this blog post feels like slipping into the lake after a long, sweaty exercise regimen. It’s lovely to be back using the snapshot button in SL! I wasn’t gone as long as I expected, which is a relief.
I hope I can find plenty of inspiring things to fuel my fashion fervor. I need to be watching my pennies, so I might not flash many expensive new releases, but I couldn’t be more thrilled to be fretting over correct landmarks and hair in my shoulder.
Outfit Details Below:
I’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity to use this great luggage pose prop from Storin ever since the pose fair, and it just hit me today as I was (for the third time) listening to the Harry Potter audio books. Trains! King’s Cross Station!
If only this was Platform 9¾ and the train a brilliant red Hogwarts Express. Instead, it’s the fabulous build at Karoastoff. I’ve been on the lookout for a good train build, and this one fits the ticket (pun intended). I saw a “rebuilding notice” sign up near the trains, so if you want to take photos, do get there quickly. You can rez!
It looks like I lost the contents of one of my suitcases ;). It’s actually a spot for another person to sit! If only I had travel companions.
I may not be in official Hogwarts robes, but I imagine my outfit as being closest to Hufflepuff‘s house colors. Blue and gold also happen to be the colors of my favorite university team: the University of Michigan Wolverines.

Not Quite a Uniform:
Whatever that means!
It’s a lovely weeekend with sunshine, daydreams, and adorable Second Life purchases to show off! I wanted to specifically credit the makers of the decor. I love all of it! I’ll be trying to work in more home design elements in future blog posts.
Oh, and can you tell I’m kind of in the ‘open mouthed vacant stare’ mood lately? 😉
Check out all these colors! What’s a girl to do but delight in the bright and cheerful? I’ve been trying to find an outfit for this necklace, and when the new Surf Couture sway dresses came out, it turned out to be a perfect compliment!
Style details after the cut:
One of my favorite current fashion trends is the use of military themes in jackets and tops. It makes a chick feel more tailored, badass, and creative. I lucked out when cocoro Lemon of COCO sent me her new Military Cardigan. To be honest, it took me two full days to come up with the right outfit to match it! I hope to get a bit more out-of-the-box with colors and combinations as time goes on; I really wanted to keep the black and gold theme this time.
I’m keeping it fun with my favorite hairstyle from Exile, one of the rockin’ dresses from Emery, my go-to Maitreya boots, and some super fun torn stockings from Kitties Lair; that store packs a few surprises for the fashionista.
I think I’m ready to go to the club. Who’s coming?
What I’m Wearing:
I broke a promise to myself. I wanted to wait a while before buying anything in SL. I think I lasted 4 days. … Personal best?
I’ve been aching for this shirt from COCO ever since I first saw it. The Whippet & Buck bustier was purchased as a spiteful bonus. My boyfriend didn’t like it in photos, so I decided to prove him wrong. And since this is my blog and I can do whatever the hell I want, I know I won that little disagreement. By the same logic, I also am certain he will be ironing my clothes for me later while wearing nothing but humble pie. Where’s that drooling emoticon when you need it?
I realize it’s considered a breach of blogger etiquette to feature clothing no longer available, but like I said, this is my blog and I make the rules. So unless you’re lucky enough to find them at a yard sale, these Last Call pants are going to silently torment you from my flickr feed.
“Where’s the beef?” Yeah, I know I’m really hungry when my mouth waters at a sculpty cow where bovines are considered sacred. I need to go grab something to eat!
