I decided to take part in one of these “tagged” memes on flickr. You answer some questions about yourself and then tag the people you want to answer them after you. Cerrie Janus tagged me a few months ago, and I’m finally reciprocating :). Don’t worry, I didn’t tag you. 😉

There I am: little miss Themapants! It’s not often I share so much of my real life on this blog. That’s pretty refreshing, to be honest 🙂
Outfit Details Below:
And they’re like, “That’s really nifty! Could you make me a copy?”
All the Look Details:
I’ve been so incredibly impressed by LeLutka‘s designs this season. It’s so much fun to wear items with top quality sculpts and baked textures that provide a rich, life-like impression–as if I could reach through my screen and know exactly what that fabric would feel like.
I suppose the irony of all this praise is that I decided to play with my photos so that they look smudged and blurred as if taken with a bad lens. Tee hee.
Of course this blog entry, like most of my entries, isn’t about just one brand. Notice the fantastic, flattering jacket from Friday, and my favorite item from Luck Inc that I used as a top. I also have been neglecting this super hair from Kyoot that could be perfected with a texture-change headband. And, as you probably know by now, one of my favorite jewelry shops for necklaces is Yummy.
Blurry Outfit Details:
When I put on these bold, bright pieces and began to construct an outfit, I decided to make myself the backdrop for the clothing, like an easel and canvas for a painting–or even better, a mannequin. Why not let the clothes shout for themselves?
P.S. Thank you to those creators who include all layers of clothing and make them copy/mod! It allows me to be a bit more creative and customize my look. 🙂
Clothing on the Mannequin:
Whatever that means!
It’s a lovely weeekend with sunshine, daydreams, and adorable Second Life purchases to show off! I wanted to specifically credit the makers of the decor. I love all of it! I’ll be trying to work in more home design elements in future blog posts.
Oh, and can you tell I’m kind of in the ‘open mouthed vacant stare’ mood lately? 😉
Check out all these colors! What’s a girl to do but delight in the bright and cheerful? I’ve been trying to find an outfit for this necklace, and when the new Surf Couture sway dresses came out, it turned out to be a perfect compliment!
Style details after the cut:
I haven’t taken blog photos at Emvee Cuba since July 2008 when baked textures in SL were a rare sight, and everyone and their second cousin was taking their photos in the same dim hallways on this gorgeous sim. It’s endured the fast-moving and ever-advancing pace of SL for two years, but it won’t last much longer. Don’t miss your chance to photograph some memories within its courtyards and ballrooms before it’s closed for good!
I realize I’m wearing a few unavailable items, but when you see something in your inventory that you love, what should keep you from wearing it? I hope it motivates you to support special events and follow your favorite shops through groups!
Style Details After the Cut
ROZOREGALIA‘s Hydra set is one of my favorite recent jewelry releases! I have this… thing for posture collars, corsets, and other restraining fashion accessories. Funny thing is, I’m not into BDSM. I’ll see what I can do to reconcile the differences; I bet my man wouldn’t mind! 😉
The collar and bracelet are impressively large. You have to be ready for a big, badass statement to wear them both at once. Each piece comes in three versions with different chain attachments; my necklace is the most plain of the three, while the bracelet has all the extra goodies. I love the black bead clusters—they’re almost tooth-like.
Confession! Every time I hear the word “Hydra” I think of the Dharma Initiative station on the TV series LOST. What can I say? I’m a Lostie!
Only five days left to snatch up the best accessories on the grid while they’re all in one place! The GIA Accessory Fair will close on Sunday March 27th with a smashing good party from 1pm-3pm. Don’t miss it! Go straight to the ROZOREGALIA booth.
I also wanted to showcase this fabulous piercing by Skream! I can’t quite figure out how to properly kiss someone with all those chains and metal, but I assume it wouldn’t be as complicated as trying to snog with braces on or other mouth hardware. 😉
Check out So Many Styles for these adorable tweed trousers. They’re perfect for showing off your favorite set of heels and a cute belly! They’re a great mix of smart and sexy.
