One of my favorite places to take my blog photos is right in my own home. I imagine myself getting ready for the day and snapping some photos right before jetting out the door to work.
I’ve been looking for these specific trousers ever since I saw them months ago on the fashion feeds. I just couldn’t remember who made them. Lo and behold, they were at LeLutka all along! In world you can see the breaks between the prims and pants layer a bit more, but they’re probably the best wide-legged pants I’ve found yet.
I’m not quite sure about the blonde shades from 69 as they seem quite yellow, but I’ll live with them because the style is so gorgeous! The braid trend in fashion right now is right up my “I wish I could do that to my own hair” alley.
I’m constantly in awe of the artistic skills of Roslin Petion, creator of 5th & Oxford. This top is part of a sexy little slip you’d normally wear in the bedroom, but despite taking pictures in my bedroom, I prefer to integrate lingerie and the like into my everyday outfits.
Look Details and Delights:
I am so amped about this outfit! It’s like, totally tubular! I was refusing to buy this AOHARU top on principal (the principal that all girls who tied their button downs were bimbettes and we should hit them with our ‘sneaks). But then I saw it in this boss plaid and ate my words!
Of course to be a little bit 80s, you need a lot of hair! This super-simple style from Nylon Outfitters made my day! You don’t need 45 sculpts to look like a commercial for Aquanet. And for feckssake, it’s called Janet.

I haven’t taken blog photos at Emvee Cuba since July 2008 when baked textures in SL were a rare sight, and everyone and their second cousin was taking their photos in the same dim hallways on this gorgeous sim. It’s endured the fast-moving and ever-advancing pace of SL for two years, but it won’t last much longer. Don’t miss your chance to photograph some memories within its courtyards and ballrooms before it’s closed for good!
I realize I’m wearing a few unavailable items, but when you see something in your inventory that you love, what should keep you from wearing it? I hope it motivates you to support special events and follow your favorite shops through groups!
Style Details After the Cut
ROZOREGALIA‘s Hydra set is one of my favorite recent jewelry releases! I have this… thing for posture collars, corsets, and other restraining fashion accessories. Funny thing is, I’m not into BDSM. I’ll see what I can do to reconcile the differences; I bet my man wouldn’t mind! 😉
The collar and bracelet are impressively large. You have to be ready for a big, badass statement to wear them both at once. Each piece comes in three versions with different chain attachments; my necklace is the most plain of the three, while the bracelet has all the extra goodies. I love the black bead clusters—they’re almost tooth-like.
Confession! Every time I hear the word “Hydra” I think of the Dharma Initiative station on the TV series LOST. What can I say? I’m a Lostie!
Only five days left to snatch up the best accessories on the grid while they’re all in one place! The GIA Accessory Fair will close on Sunday March 27th with a smashing good party from 1pm-3pm. Don’t miss it! Go straight to the ROZOREGALIA booth.
I also wanted to showcase this fabulous piercing by Skream! I can’t quite figure out how to properly kiss someone with all those chains and metal, but I assume it wouldn’t be as complicated as trying to snog with braces on or other mouth hardware. 😉
Check out So Many Styles for these adorable tweed trousers. They’re perfect for showing off your favorite set of heels and a cute belly! They’re a great mix of smart and sexy.
What I Wear:
You must visit the China sim. Paulina Oceanlane recommended it to me, and I thank her for it! It’s a transparent domed platform high in the sky; the painted landscape has a few sparse bamboo trees and cabins and one very out-of-place armchair. Depending on your lighting setting, the environment’s entire mood changes. You feel a part of nature’s art.
Since that’s about as far as I go into art appreciation, I’ll just say that this scene provided a few striking, dark snapshots to show off this killer look I was able to put together thanks to Roslin Petion of 5th&Oxford and her new “The Tease” lingerie set. the hand-drawn pieces are packaged separately (gloves, two corset variants, and a bra and panty set) in variety of rich, vibrant colors. Of course I went with the ever-feminine pink and paired it with my favorite blouse from LeeZu and the badass Mick trousers from LeLutka. I wanted to show how the 5th&Oxford set works as clothing and style enhancements and not just lingerie (as illustrated by my lack of bra 😉 ).
Even if you’re a shopaholic like me, make sure to explore a new place in Second Life every week. If need be, just scroll through the Map and pick random places to TP with your friends. You never know what field trips could bring!
